It is time for a new Jubilee, in which to open wide once again the Holy Door to offer the living experience of God's love, which kindles in the heart the certain hope of salvation in Christ. This conviction led Bishop Antonio Staglianò to write a Theological Letter to the Pope. The central point of the author's reflection is the affirmation of a "jubilee Christocentrism," which becomes the foundation of the announcement of hope for all humanity and justifies Christian optimism as the judgment and perspective of faith on historical events. This is the hope that neither deceives nor disappoints, because it has passed through the testimony of an incarnate love that pushes the gift of life to death.

Antonio Staglianò
Antonio Staglianò, ordinato presbitero nel 1984, è dottore in Teologia fondamentale (Pontificia Università Gregoriana, 1986). Ha seguito corsi di specializzazione in Germania e si è laureato in Filosofia (Università della Calabria, 1995). Ha svolto numerosi ministeri e incarichi a livello parrocchiale, diocesano e nazionale. Nel 2009 Benedetto XVI lo ha nominato vescovo di Noto. Nel 2022 Francesco lo ha scelto come pre sidente della Pontificia Accademia di Teologia, con la missione di divulgare la teologia sapienziale tra la gente. È autore di numerosi saggi che spaziano dalla teologia scientifica, in dialogo con tutti i saperi critici, all’attualità pastorale ed ecclesiale. Da dieci anni è promotore della PopTheology, intesa come “carità intellettuale” a servizio dell’evangelizzazione.
